Founder & President
Jonathan Boring is a digital marketing expert with more than a decade of proven success in corporate branding, sales and communications. With an extensive background in marketing, sales, and technology, Jonathan has created and carried out digital marketing campaigns that have resulted in greatly increased brand awareness, media attention, customer loyalty, and sales.
Jonathan founded Social Spice Media in 2012, with the vision of helping corporations bridge communications through technology and creative marketing solutions. His goal is to develop, improve and maintain powerful social media integration programs in order to increase awareness, brand loyalty, website traffic and sales. Jonathan has spent the past nine years immersed in digital marketing with an emphasis in social media, and has been a speaker on the topic at several social media conferences.
Prior to founding Social Spice Media, Jonathan served as Director of Sales and Marketing at The California Wine Club (CWC). His role included all aspects of social media engagement and marketing, as well as business development. Under Jonathan’s direction, CWC sponsored the 2010 and 2011 Taste of Camarillo, Bryan Brother’s Foundation Tennis Fest, Camarillo Art Council, and World Council Affairs Dinner.
John "Lou" Alexander
Director of Digital Marketing
Lou has a B.A. in Philosophy with a minor in Spanish Literature, which might explain the occasional reference to metaphysics or Don Quixote. He’s held a variety of positions, from insurance claims adjuster to driving forklifts in Alaska. When not crunching numbers or creating marketing strategies, he likes to play the guitar, ride his bike around Ventura County, read, make super-hot salsa or just hang out with his wife and their two pet rabbits. Director of Operations
Melanie serves as Office Manager, writes content for social media channels, and communicates with clients regarding their marketing needs. She completes monthly quantitative reports for all clients, and accounts receivable.
Melanie earned a B.A. in Sociology from California State University, Chico. Before joining the Social Spice Media team, she worked as a Project Manager in Market Research. On the weekends, she enjoys spending time with her two children and her husband. She loves wine tasting with family and friends, decorating, and shopping.

Director of Video Production Operations
Jesus Cardoso graduated from California State University, Northridge with a B.A. in Cinema and Television, with a major in Electronic Media Management. He was awarded the honors medallion for excellent academic performance. Jesus also is an alumni of Oxnard College where he obtained his A.A. in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a major in Communications.
Jesus directed the award-winning Bank of America Merrill Lynch video for UCLA and helped the university win a grant to build low-income housing for the city of Los Angeles. With more than ten years of multimedia marketing experience, Jesus dedicates himself to excellence with every project.
She has designed for many household brands, such as Nestlé, Citicorp, Pepsi, General Foods, Celestial Seasonings, Allegro Coffee and Google. When not designing, Karen enjoys spending time with her husband and her sidekick, Mattie. Her other interests include; fine art painting, paddle boarding, snowboarding, vegan cooking, and being a strong voice for all animals in peril — especially for elephants trapped in the circus.
Penny works in Web Development for Social Spice Media.
Designing and packaging brands for nearly 20 years, Penny has developed web and graphic design materials for law firms, financial institutions, tourism groups and movie studios. Penny has also helped mom-and-pop clients and niche boutiques all over the country to build their brands from the ground-up.
Spending most of her adult life in Los Angeles, she uses both web development and art direction to help clients establish identities and maximize their online presences through top-notch SEO strategies and the latest design tools.
Penny’s past clients include Disney, Universal Music Group and Time Warner. As co-leader of her creative company in Hawai’i, she brings an artist’s eye to add color and life to web sites and marketing materials everywhere.
In her spare time, she does non-profit work creating murals for institutions such as schools, jails and hospitals, as well as painting seascapes.

Email & Graphic Designer
Robin is a production and design magician, excelling in print, environmental and digital media. Robin takes on any project with tenacity and expertise, stepping up to make sure the final delivered product is above and beyond all expectations. Email blast expertise with HTML code understanding/editing, design, layout with execution of the delivery. Plus animated HTML5 banner ad production with ad serve abilities.
Robin has a degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, College of Design & Planning. Robin’s interests include biking, volleyball, pickle ball and hiking with her labradoodle.
Fun fact: Robin was a member of the Douglas County H.S. State Champion Marching Band that marched in the 92nd Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, CA.
