Spice Up Your Content for Greater SEO Ranking

We also believe in spicing things up to make our clients stand out – don’t be fooled by my last name. “Boring” is far from what we produce. How many brands do you see replicating the same thing and posting content that is abundant on search engines? The only differences among them seem to be their brand names because all their content looks the same. All of these brands start to blend together and don’t make the impression they should be making on their audience. The last thing you want is to slap your logo on something that looks the same as what everyone else is producing. What are we all really doing differently? Here’s how to spice up your content and how it will affect your SEO.

Get creative, inventive, and imaginative.

7 tips on how to manage your money, ways to improve safety in the workplace, DIY ideas for your home this summer – it’s all been done before. It doesn’t matter what business you’re in if you’re creating generic blog titles that will trickle further and further down a search engine’s results page. Your SEO will suffer if you are being a copy-cat.

Be original and inventive. There is always a new way to get creative even if it’s solely with the words you put in front of your clients. Get rid of the internet for research and start brainstorming with the creative minds who are a part of your company. Don’t plagiarize other people’s work and call it your own. Get rid of clichés and generic posts; they are unimaginative and could hurt your business in the long run.

Make it personal.

What’s more original than your company? Sure, there are other businesses that are similar to you, but they don’t do things exactly the same as you. What makes you different? Your company blog is the main source of changing (and hopefully engaging) content. What’s that? You don’t have a blog? Start one now. A blog is your way to engage with your audience. It can serve as a news page to keep your clients or customers updated with information about the things your business is doing, and is great for posting on social. New information like this is beneficial for your SEO. The goal is to drive traffic back to your website and increase sales.

Run a promotion.

Another great way to spice up your content is by running a promotion or contest to entice users to visit your website. Promotions are brand specific and it’s easy to get creative. You can include other types of engaging content on your website if you’re not looking to run a promotion or contest with any sort of prize or monetary giveaway. There are also several contests that don’t have to have prizes. Think about all those Facebook posts that ask you to send in your best photo, but you’re going to need to make it inventive and appealing enough for your audience to engage with it. You want as many people as possible to be aware of your brand and you want them to participate. Once again: new information that is not a reproduction of everything else that is out there will help your SEO. You can’t be buried in the sea of information when yours is new, refreshing, and at the top of search engines.

Take your clients with you on your journey.

Do you have success stories of your business, customer testimonials, reviews, or want to share something your company has done that you’re proud of? Show your clients what you’re doing and what you’ve done. These stories can’t be duplicated because they’re your own. Provide posts that demonstrate progress and make your audience want to check back in with you on your next post.

Work with others.

Partner with another company to get innovative. Think about inviting guest bloggers to work with you and see how they produce original content. Other companies may have other successful methods for producing creative content that could be beneficial for your company’s website and sales.

You don’t want to make it more difficult for people to discover your website, especially since it can easily be avoided. Create your own style and your own way of doing things. She has designed for many household brands, such as Nestlé, Citicorp, Pepsi, General Foods, Celestial Seasonings, Allegro Coffee and Google. When not designing, Karen enjoys spending time with her husband and her sidekick, Mattie. Her other interests include; fine art painting, paddle boarding, snowboarding, vegan cooking, and being a strong voice for all animals in peril — especially for elephants trapped in the circus.

She moved to Ventura, CA in 1992 & began working for a manufacturing company in Ojai, CA which later moved to Oxnard, CA. Throughout the last 30 years, she has played many roles within the manufacturing company including Staff Accountant, Controller, Chief Financial Officer & HR Administrator.

When she’s not “counting beans”, Kay enjoys going to music concerts, hanging out with friends & taking long walks while listening to audio books.

She started her professional career on-camera in HGTV’s “Design on a Dime” and later moved behind the scenes where she worked as a freelance Art Director and Project Manager for the television commercial industry. Throughout the years, Summer has been part of dozens of highly successful commercial campaigns for clients including Netflix, MasterClass, the NFL, Target, eBay, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Moet, Disney, Toyota, Hyundai, and Chevy.

Jonathan Boring is a digital marketing expert with more than two decades of proven success in corporate branding, sales and communications. With an extensive background in marketing, sales, and technology, Jonathan has created and carried out digital marketing and branding campaigns that have resulted in greatly increased brand awareness, media attention, customer loyalty, and sales.

Jonathan founded Social Spice Media in 2012, with the vision of helping corporations bridge the interconnected and digital communications through a strategic use of technology combined with creative marketing solutions. His goal is to develop, improve, and maintain powerful social media integration programs in order to increase awareness, brand loyalty, website traffic, and sales. Jonathan has spent the past 15 years immersed in digital marketing with an emphasis in social media. He has been a speaker on the topic at several social media conferences, user groups, and industry groups.

Prior to founding Social Spice Media, Jonathan served as Director of Sales and Marketing at The California Wine Club (CWC). His role included all aspects of social media engagement and marketing, as well as business development. Under Jonathan’s direction, CWC sponsored the 2010 and 2011 Taste of Camarillo, Bryan Brother’s Foundation Tennis Fest, Camarillo Art Council, and World Council Affairs Dinner.
