Find A Web Hosting Package That Lets Your Business Stand Out

You may have invested a lot of resources into designing an eye-catching website that captures the essence of your brand, but if you haven’t yet invested in a reliable web hosting service, website crashes, cyber threats, and dreadfully slow loading times could overshadow a once excellent reputation.

There are a ton of website hosts out there, but before signing up with one, you must consider your web hosting needs. To understand what criteria your web host provider needs to meet, ask yourself these questions:

·      Do you expect your online business to expand?

What type of website are you building?

 

Whether you run an e-commerce site, a stand-alone blog, online storefront, or lead generating site will determine what features must be included in your web hosting package to ensure a seamless and secure customer interface.    

As a general rule of thumb, the more functionality your website requires, the greater amount of storage capacity you’ll need. And as far as cyber security goes, no matter the type of site you’re building, you need to check that your website host can protect your customers’ information by ensuring a secure connection, specifically via an SSL certificate.

 

Does your business website require special software?

 

If you’re unfamiliar with the various software options available to you, that’s okay. You don’t necessarily need to know the difference between Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X or that plugins are small software programs that add specific features to your website. For newly established business sites that expect 40,000 unique monthly visitors or less, a shared web hosting account should suffice. As your business grows, however, you might need to upgrade to a Virtual Private Server (VPS) or dedicated server plan.

 

What kind of budget are you working with? 

 

You should never skimp on reliable web hosting services, but you shouldn’t have to pay for more than what you need. You should find a web host that offers customizable packages geared toward your specific small business needs with terms that allow you to upgrade when you’re ready.

 

Will you be managing your own website?

 

Depending on your technical skills or even the time you have available to manage your website, there are a variety of server plans that grant varying levels of access to your site’s control panel and server to perform functions such as daily backups, security scanning, or core file edits. If you’re not intimidated by operating software such as Linux, a self-managed dedicated served plan might be right for you. If you’re not too keen to run your own site, however, a fully managed dedicated server plan can take the hassle out of maintaining an online storefront as the web host will handle every aspect of your website.

 

How many website domains do you plan to own?

 

If you own a single unified business without subsidiaries, you might think this is an odd question. However, purchasing the rights to multiple domain names can ensure outside parties can’t hijack your company name or similar and related domain names to leverage your hard-earned brand recognition for redirects to their wannabe site. If you have purchased multiple domain names, you’ll need a hosting plan that allows you to manage numerous websites, such as Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting.

She has designed for many household brands, such as Nestlé, Citicorp, Pepsi, General Foods, Celestial Seasonings, Allegro Coffee and Google. When not designing, Karen enjoys spending time with her husband and her sidekick, Mattie. Her other interests include; fine art painting, paddle boarding, snowboarding, vegan cooking, and being a strong voice for all animals in peril — especially for elephants trapped in the circus.

She moved to Ventura, CA in 1992 & began working for a manufacturing company in Ojai, CA which later moved to Oxnard, CA. Throughout the last 30 years, she has played many roles within the manufacturing company including Staff Accountant, Controller, Chief Financial Officer & HR Administrator.

When she’s not “counting beans”, Kay enjoys going to music concerts, hanging out with friends & taking long walks while listening to audio books.

Samuel J. Ashe II, MBA, better known as Sammy, is an award-winning marketing leader with extensive experience in SEO, social media strategy, and content marketing. Holding an MBA from California Lutheran University and a BFA in Film & Video Production from City College of New York (CUNY), Sammy brings a unique blend of creative and analytical expertise to his new role as SEO & Social Media Manager at Social Spice Media.

With a background spanning various industries, he’s made an impact on companies like Black Women’s Blueprint, iWALKFree, and Yardi Systems to name a few. Sammy has developed a keen insight into brand growth, engagement, and strategy. Known for his omnidirectional approach to digital marketing, he is dedicated to driving brand visibility, enhancing online presence, and crafting the unique stories that resonate with diverse audiences.

Outside of work, Sammy is an avid foodie and travel enthusiast, indulging in every opportunity to explore new flavors and destinations domestically and abroad alongside his wife.

She started her professional career on-camera in HGTV’s “Design on a Dime” and later moved behind the scenes where she worked as a freelance Art Director and Project Manager for the television commercial industry. Throughout the years, Summer has been part of dozens of highly successful commercial campaigns for clients including Netflix, MasterClass, the NFL, Target, eBay, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Moet, Disney, Toyota, Hyundai, and Chevy.

Jonathan Boring is a digital marketing expert with more than two decades of proven success in corporate branding, sales and communications. With an extensive background in marketing, sales, and technology, Jonathan has created and carried out digital marketing and branding campaigns that have resulted in greatly increased brand awareness, media attention, customer loyalty, and sales.

Jonathan founded Social Spice Media in 2012, with the vision of helping corporations bridge the interconnected and digital communications through a strategic use of technology combined with creative marketing solutions. His goal is to develop, improve, and maintain powerful social media integration programs in order to increase awareness, brand loyalty, website traffic, and sales. Jonathan has spent the past 15 years immersed in digital marketing with an emphasis in social media. He has been a speaker on the topic at several social media conferences, user groups, and industry groups.

Prior to founding Social Spice Media, Jonathan served as Director of Sales and Marketing at The California Wine Club (CWC). His role included all aspects of social media engagement and marketing, as well as business development. Under Jonathan’s direction, CWC sponsored the 2010 and 2011 Taste of Camarillo, Bryan Brother’s Foundation Tennis Fest, Camarillo Art Council, and World Council Affairs Dinner.
