Digital Marketing Designed for Attorneys

July 30, 2018
Wooden gavel on table.

Believe it or not, online marketing for attorneys and law firms has become fairly competitive over the course of the past year. There is an abundance of marketing companies that claim to have the experience and tools to deliver an effective digital marketing campaign dedicated to law, but they do not always deliver. Social Spice Media specializes in digital marketing for attorneys. In this week’s blog, we highlight how we can deliver results to land your firm new leads and increase revenue.

Creating Awareness of Your Firm

You cannot offer your services to potential clients if they do not know you exist. A few ways you can create awareness for your firm are through developing a social media presence, maintaining a blog where you share information about your expertise on relevant topics, and create an email marketing campaign that reinforces your firm’s unique characteristics. There is one caveat to this: you need the right team with the proper expertise.

Understanding the Industry

Just as it is your job to understand the legal industry, it is our job to understand the marketing industry. We are not only experts at our craft, but also have a team of avid researchers. Next to legal services, our team also has experience develop marketing initiatives for a variety of industries, including financial services, food/beverage, manufacturing/consumer goods, medical, real estate, non-profits, and the list continues.

We work directly with you to understand your company, your goals, and other variables that are key to your success online. Though specialized marketing firms believe they offer their clients something unique that other agencies cannot, the differences can sometimes be glaring.

Some industry-specific firms are known to reproduce the same content for multiple clients. For instance, three family law attorneys – who are all competitors – could end up purchasing the same blog from an agency like this. This automatically creates friction within their client base, as Google and other search engines favor unique content over reproduced content. You could lower your visibility on search platforms, making it harder for leads to find you. It also can affect your reputation because it demonstrates that your firm does not take the time to produce quality, thoughtful content.

This is just one example of a red flag that is raised from industry-specific agencies. Conversely, digital marketing agencies that have a wide variety of experience in multiple industries are better positioned to offer solutions that are custom, quality, and designed to get you noticed online.

Capitalizing on Efficiency

Some firms and lawyers leave marketing up to in-house employees that may not have the time or necessary expertise. The worst-case scenario is when a firm ignores it completely. Depending on busy staff to enhance your marketing initiatives ignores consistency and quality. There is not a comprehensive plan or strategy developed to review your results on a regular basis. When you partner with a third-party digital marketing agency, you immediately can look forward to more efficient processes because we consider this when creating a plan built for success. Then, you can capitalize on the efficiency by focusing on your profession to drive revenue.

Choosing the Right Marketing Agency

There are several agencies touting their services directly to lawyers. They claim it is their niche and that this quality is what makes them stand out from their competitors. Most of these agencies do not offer a wide variety of services. On the other hand, Social Spice Media is a full-service digital marketing agency that designs comprehensive packages for attorneys.

We have created long-lasting relationships with our legal clients and understand the demands of the industry. One of our happy clients is insurance defense attorneys Jampol Zimet LLP. They explained, “Social Spice Media has organized clear, informative, high quality legal blogs, and has played an instrumental role in blog syndication by large insurance agencies to reproduce in our newsletters to insurance agents.”

As a full-service digital marketing agency, we can offer our clients much more than most firms. Along with social media marketing, SEO, website development, and other services, we pride ourselves on a high-level of customization. For instance, we designed and developed a custom one sheet for family law attorney Thomas Hutchinson of Norman Dowler LLP. Social Spice Media offers value and convenience by creating a one-stop shop for all your marketing initiatives.
